Dholavira : An ancient site of Indus-Saraswati Civilisation
Dholavira:A Harappan City by Shreyan Sengupta On the 27th of July 2021, UNESCO declared that Dholavira an ancient city of India from 2700BC-1900BC as a World Heritage site which is the 40th world heritage site from India. Dholavira:- The city is known being one the highly developed in terms of City planning which is divided into different ratios depending upon various structures, and these ratios do have an uncanny similarity with the ratios mentioned in the Arthashastra by Chanakya. It was one of the important port sites along with Lothal another major port city of the Harappan era which is involved with most trade with the then Middle east through the sea.The evidence of this seafaring trade have been detected due to the presence of many Harappan Seals which the Harrapan are famous for, are found in the Middle East.
